From humble beginnings, his ascent began on the stage of the National Theatre in 1997 and by 2001, he was recording emotionally charged tracks like “Claire” and “Tuli Ku Bunkenke,” which swiftly captured public imagination with their authentic portrayals of life’s complexities and social narratives. Mayinja’s body of work reflects his potent ability to merge artistry with advocacy, as seen in politically charged songs such as “Bizeemu” and “Akalulu Kako Mzee.” Beyond music, his academic pursuits saw him graduating in Social Sciences from Makerere University, and in 2021, signifying his potential political inclinations, he enrolled at the Law Development Centre. A co-founder of Golden Band following his tenure with Eagles Production, Mayinja also leads Peace for All, All for Peace, his NGO committed to unity and social outreach.
